“What spoilt our stay was the pushing by a representative as soon as we arrived to attend a "holiday club" (Time share) presentation. then the following phone calls to our room early the following morning. This really spoilt our stay! Everything else about the resort was really great.”

“Our experience was terrible. We were scammed by the hotel staff. We made a boat tour reservation through the hotel concierge on the first day of our trip, which was supposed to include fishing, snorkeling, and whale watching. We paid $600 for the tour. However, all we got was a fishing trip on an old boat. We got soaked by the waves because the roof of the boat was broken, and there were no life vests for the kids. The concierge had said the license fee was included, but we had to pay $75 each...

“The Solmar resort was OK. The staff was the best part- very friendly and helpful. The resort itself is older so the amenities are outdated- the shower didn’t drain well, the sheets were itchy, the windows shook at night with the wind, no extra locks on the doors. It is also located on the side of the ocean where you cannot go in so do not stay here if you want actual beach access”
