"We are the repeaters. This the rare co-ed onsen which allows you to go in with your friends and family. The onsen was filled with milky warm water so that you can stay in long hours and enjoy other people's company. Very relaxing environment surrounded by mountains. The food was omakase and very good. "The guesthouse was absolutely gorgeous and in a stunning part of Japan. We rented a car in Matsumoto and used the guesthouse as a base for visiting Kamikochi. The hotel is bright and cheery. The rooms are a generous size. The futons comfortable. Perhaps the best thing of all was the private onsen. The dining options around are a little limited- very few are open at night. There are more soba lunch options but we were out walking. We went to both Abbey Road and Springbank which were fine. "
