"We had a brilliant time at the Davanzita. The hotel was refurbished earlier this year so our room was very well appointed and fresh. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions on where to visit, dine, etc. They started having a Happy Hour so their clients could have a chat and discuss what they had done during the day, giving ideas to other people now other hotels have taken this on-board. Lift starts up a few steps, so can be hard if carrying heavy luggage. This was our situation, but quickly staff and everything about this beautiful place, relieved our frustration. "The location was great , the decor was super and the breakfast was good. The one drawback which is not widely mentioned which is an issue is that the square outside the hotel is a market which is taken down each night, and then buskers play at night. The problem is that they then set the market up from scratch starting at 4 am, so the chances of sleeping (with the shouting and banging) is zero."

"The air conditioning is not allowed to be on due to time of year but staff offered us a fan for the room which was great. Our travel adapters we had been using in many other cities did not fit the plugs there so had to buy New ones just for Florence. There was construction around the hotel so woke us up at 7am with the noise and had one of the workers outside of our bathroom window seeing us in the bathroom which was awkward."

"The location of this property couldn’t be beat. It’s in the heart of Florence so everything is accessible. My only gripe is that in the Expedia site it says Breakfast included. It should say “continental breakfast” as all the bookings I make have to include breakfast and it was quite a disappointment.
