“Gorgeous old castle. Our room was large and very comfortable with a nice sized bathroom. The staff was excellent, giving us recommendations for dinner and things to see, making reservations for us, etc. Breakfast was excellent; they accommodated our gluten free friends with special treats as well. There are a lot of outdoor areas to relax in if the weather permits and if there aren’t events going on there. The spa was only open if someone made an appointment (we were there out of season). ”

“An unhappy experience. When we arrived at our hotel we were told it was closed due to a "technical problem" and that we were booked in a different hotel. While the other hotel was very well situated, it was tired looking, no wi-fi in the rooms, and we had the worst room in the hotel, looking out on a service courtyard instead of a sea view. Heating rails in the bathroom did not work. No window or extractor fan in the bathroom either.”
