Merulana #2 was great. This location was walkable to many attractions and had lots of restaurants in the area. The host was there every morning for breakfast so you could ask questions. They were very helpful and organized our taxi to the airport. I highly recommend.

The property was clean and the owners were very nice and helpful. Took a day to get used to the lift which was very interesting. Breakfast was nothing elaborate but was filling and good. Can’t think of the lady’s name but she was so nice and helpful as was the owner, think his name was Pietro.

Fantastic Stay! Thank you Sara and Pietro!

Definitely recommend for your next stay in Rome- we booked Merulana Suite as it was close to everything being on Giovanni Lanza. The price was extremely fair, especially given the quality of the location and the stay itself. The real star was Sara, greeting us at the door and helping to provide anything we needed at our stay, even extra adjustments when we needed to leave early in the morning. Breakfast is also provided and she did a great job at making sure we had what we liked! Pietro's guide to places to go was also handy- definitely consider going to the restaurants he recommends, especially the ones only a short walk away. Altogether we will definitely consider Merulana Suite 2 again when we are in Rome! Don't hesitate to book this room! Please note that you are paying for a room in an apartment with other rooms on your floor in your part of the building- if that bothers you you will want to book elsewhere.

It was such an amazing stay. It's a very nice B&B habitat. Sara and Pietro are very kind, friendly and helpfull. We had very nice italian breakfast and delicious coffee. Very difficult if your flight does not land until 16.30 . Had to wait a long time for someone to let us into room. Despite ringing and texting prior to arrival like we were asked to do. The property itself is lovely and unusual.

Location and staff 5/5!

Merulana suite is aparment hotel in the very middle of Rome. Few minutes by foot from Colosseum. Room is spacious and clean, breakfast is served in the common room from 8 to 10. Service is nice, people are very polite and friendly. Everything worked more than well! Only slight minus from the AC which seems to be on its last breath. Kinda noisy and didnt cool the room too well. But certainly can recommend this place, especially for couples!

Highly recommend this wonderful place to stay. Pietro, Pema & Sarah looked after me so well. Even helped me out when my luggage didnt arrive with me in Rome. The room was spacious and exactly how you see it on the booking. Bed was very comfortable, the shower was hot and the breakfast served with a smile between 8-10 each morning. Even though we were on a busy street, when I had the window closed you could not hear anything outside. The room is on 3rd floor, there is a tiny elevator to take up or you can use the stairs. There are many surrounding places to eat and it is a 10 minute walk to the station & about 20 minutes to the Trevi fountain and 10 minutes to the Colosseum. So very central location. I will definitely return and stay again !!!

A no-frills base with a great location

Not perfect, but good value for money with a great location, short walk from Termini and all the main ancient Rome sites. Staff were friendly, reachable all the time via WhatsApp and gave good tips. Nothing awfully wrong here, everything works okay as a base for exploring Rome. Breakfast was simple continental style, coffee and an assortment of cakes. Overall there was a bit of a hostel feel due to the three rooms being in a normal apartment, with a shared kitchen area dedicated for the breakfast. With zero noise isolation within the apartment this means no sleeping after the breakfast preparations start at 7.30 or so, and any nighttime noise from the other rooms is 100% audible. On the other hand our room was facing the courtyard, with only birds singing and no traffic to be heard, which was nice. Cleaning was a little on-off, for example the trash bins were never emptied and stocking up toiletries didn't quite work, but the tidyness level was otherwise fine.

Charmigt och trevligt boende centralt i Rom.

Besökte Rom över några dagar och bodde på Merulana suite 2. Ligger mitt i ett bostadshus och är utifrån sett intetsägande. Rummet var rymligt med fönster mot en lugn innergård, skön säng och både tv och kylskåp på rummet. Fick både en flaska bubbel och snacks! Oerhört lyhört från entrén dock och med ett par högljudda granngäster som kom hem sent blev sömnen störd. Personalen var väldigt trevliga och serviceminded, serverade frukostkaffe varje morgon. Det ”städades” varje morgon (sängen bäddades men soporna tömdes inte varje dag) Toaletten och badrum var fräscht men aningens slitet (sprucket handfat, fläckar på toasitsen). Nyckel till boendet var otymplig med en hel knippa om 4 st nycklar att bära med sig.

Die Gastgeber Pietro und Sara waren einfach toll. Sie gaben uns tolle Ausflugtipps, sie gingen auf unseren Wunsch nach einem Zimmer mit zwei Betten ein und zügelten unser Zimmer nach der ersten Nacht, sie bereiteten uns ein tolles Frühstück mit frischen Früchten, Cappuccino, Croissants und Kuchen. Very unique and charming hotel. The host was very attentive but did not hover. Recommended some restaurants and we ate one of those- VERY GOOD! It was difficult to find/know I was at the right place due to its uniqueness. Quite charming!

There needs to be a better way to check in. There was no way to get in when we arrived and no way for us to contact anyone as our internet wasn’t working. There needs to be a proper sign on the door and a way to communicate from the door to room.
