This hotel is a little gem. From the moment you walk through the entrance you get a sense of something rather special and unique.
The gardens (manicured cacti / succulents / rockery) dates back some 110 years, and you can feel the peaceful energy everywhere you turn. The pool area was laid out well, and provided a refreshing break from the 35deg South African heat. The room was very well apportioned, tastefully decorated (felt new) and neat and clean upon arrival. The bed was huge and very comfortable, coffee machine in room and welcome glass of wine we nice unexpected touches. Bathroom has walk in shower, dual basins and large bath - all meticulously clean!
Restaurant onsite (Succulent, by Werner Snoek) was the cherry on top. Amazing menu, unbelievable tastes all from locally sourced growers, wonderful service, and a setting overlooking the gardens to die for.
All in all a fantastic stay - we will absolutely be back and would certainly recommend this to friends and family.
