“We stayed 1 night. Our studio--sitting room, large bathroom, and bedroom--was very spacious with many amenities: coffee/water/materials for eating in. Well appointed--comfortable mattress, beautiful bedding, great bathroom--comfortable couch and small table for eating. Excellent value. More than 1 venue for food--different styles. We only sampled breakfast--the granola parfait was perfect. ”

We stayed in apartment- and ate at pub in Portinscale only a 15 minute walk into Keswick lovely walk. Apartment clean , everything you need . The building is Victorian, plenty of room in apartment set in lovely grounds. It is dated, and the hall entrance could do with repainting and new carpets to make it more inviting for guests. “We arrived at the property to see it hadnt been cleaned from the previous occupants. We were told no cleaner available so we had no choice but to make the long drive back home. Still waiting for our money back. ”

“Was left over chinese takeaway in fridge. Bed sheets were disgusting, lots of hairs and stains. Cups were unwashed. Decking was so slippy, green molud, nearly had a bad fall. Fold away chairs in main bedroom which seems to be from outside had spider nets. We came home after being there few hours and was meant to stay 4 nights. We were so disappointed, angry, deflated as saved up our hard earned cash for our 4 nights away and ended us coming home before we should have. ”

“Lovely quite country location, off-street parking & all the comforts of home. Near train station if public transport is required, however noise from trains was not an issue. 'The stables is ideal for a couple with small kitchen if wanting to cook.”

Despite checking in online earlier that morning and advising of expected arrival time, I didn't receive the code for the lock box and all attempts at contacting the host failed, no response to phone calls or text messages, in fact the host declined my calls on numerous occasions. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED that this host left a solo female traveler stood outside in the rain and in the dark for over an hour...
