BED BUGS!!
We had a few issues with this property before we even got into the room. The company tried to take payment 2 days before our arrival, despite us selecting Pay on Arrival.
When we arrived we were told to check in to a sister hotel, Hotel U Malvase, where we were greeted with a rude receptionist who told us we were in the wrong place. Eventually she took payment and asked us to fill out the check in registration forms. We dropped our bags off and returned after the 3pm check in.
We headed to the boutique residence and you need a code to get into the door. This had not been sent to us, so we rang the receptionist from Hotel U Malvase who again was incredibly rude and said she was going to send it via message. We had to wait 20 minutes and phone her back, where she reluctantly then gave us the code.
The worst bit. On the 2nd night around 10pm, we spotted a bed bug on our pillow & after further investigation, a couple more. We immediately packed up and headed to the Hotel U Malvase and insisted to check out and a refund.
We were greeted with a lovely receptionist this time who did not argue that they were bed bugs & offered us to stay in that hotel instead (4 star) in an executive double room with breakfast included for the remaining 2 nights. This of course was an upgrade and we were happy with how that was dealt with.
Do not stay at the Prague Boutique Residence.
