"Great view from room, clean and friendly team. Nice to get free parking and lovely relaxing ambiance in the bar - we did book due to the picture of the outside area and fire and sofas to relax, sadly it was all closed up and couldn’t use - that and the hill from town was the only thing that let a great stay down"

"the heater was not working properly and we woke up in midnight to call reception about this, staff offered to change room or a electric heater, since we were really tired we asked for the electric heater instead. Staff brought the electric heater up immediately and tried to check our room heater as well, very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is extra 2800kr pp."

"This hotel was nice and the food in the restaurant was good. They did provide a room call for the Northern Lights (which some hotels will provide and that is great when wanting to view the Northern Lights). The surrounding area around the hotel was dark enough to have an enjoyable experience if the Northern Lights are active. Additionally, some of the tour groups use the parking lot of this hotel as their meeting point for their tours. We had a tour and this made it very convenient for us."

"Perfect location close to the water and walkable to the main shopping area and restaurants within 5 minutes on the flat (which was ideal in the ice/snow as the hills looked slippery) The hotel has been beautifully decorated, the included breakfast was great and the basic double room was plenty big enough. Will be recommending to anyone I know if they travel to Akureyri. "
