"Wonderful front desk staff and the Monk Bar was a fun surprise. We enjoyed a fabulous hand-crafted cocktail and the bartender's music selection before heading out for the evening. Breakfast was to-go style but there is a comfortable dining area to enjoy if you prefer to not take it to your room or to wherever you are going. Very walkable location. It was cold when we were there, but the outdoor patio area looks very inviting for next time."

"The Boggs Mansion is a restored old mansion with 8 rooms all of which are different. Guests are welcomed by a live-in house manager who attends to guest needs and provides breakfast each day. My wife and I loved our stay. The free parking, price point, large room, and downtown proximity were a big plus as was Samantha, the house manager. "The property was well maintained and clean. We were in town for a ballet competition so we were gone all day everyday until late and didn’t realize they weren’t going to service our room the second morning I had to run and buy coffee. I decided not to use parking at the hotel but if I had to do it again I would because there was no place to load and unload baggage on the street. "

"This property is clean, centrally located and very well designed. The restaurant associated with it is excellent (The Commoner). The front desk staff is average at best (they just looked at 10-15 people is the entry (which is very small) and awkwardly waited to be approached. No greeting, no help facilitating a line or anything. It was a bit odd for a hotel we paid $430 for one night for.
