"We had a great time at Basecamp! We love the adventure motel vibe, there is a warm & welcoming common area with a fire & coffee, tea & hot chocolate. Great location, very walkable to the restaurants, shops & cafe in Tahoe City. There's a little slice of Lake Tahoe from the parking lot (the weather was storming so not sure about the view from the top deck). "The hotel staff was very prompt, curious, friendly, and professional. We visited the hotel in early March and found it to be relatively quiet. They provide a shuttle service to Diamond Peak ski resort included with our stay. Overall, we were very pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel and plan to return back."

"The property is clean and located mere steps from the Palisades Tahoe village and the Tram building (and also close to the bottom of the WaSheShu lift I think). Convenient parking for one vehicle per room in the adjacent garage. Staff was friendly and helpful, though maybe a little slow on checking people in that night. Some parts of the property were undergoing renovation during my stay, so I gave the Property Condition only 4 out of five stars."
