“Good A/C, nice sized room. Appreciated the "larger" mini frudge and coffee maker in the room. Very helpful woth local resources and advice on best travel routes. Got to see a mother howler monkey nursing her baby in the tree just adjacent to the room. Room walls are concrete, so couldn't hear anything from adjacent rooms. Much more serene atmosphere than the hectic pace and crowds in Nosara and Guiones beach areas. Would definitely stay again. Thank you, Louie for wonderful hospitality.”

“The Sunset Shack was fantastic for our family trip to Nosara. The beach is super close, and the town is very cute. We were right in the middle of it all. Monkeys in the mango trees on the property in the morning, and iguanas roaming all day. The food, the staff, and the hotel itself were all 5 stars! We would love to return to Nosara, and would not stay anywhere else. Thank you Sunset Shack!”

“Comfortable place. Two beds in the room, that was unexpected. Nice. Staff need to be more attentive when . Serving and at the bar. But free breakfast was very good. Great beach, one of the best I have been in Costa Rica. Affordable. I don’t know if they have any beach chairs, I didn’t asked. There are none available at the beach except for the next door resort which they don’t rent. There are different activities offered by other businesses.”

We had a small issue with our room (no fault of the hotel) and the manager quickly offered us an upgrade to a beautiful suite. “This is a great boutique hotel for someone looking for a reclusive and quite stay. It is located in the mountains with gorgeous views. Fyi. The standard room only has one queen size bed. If you're traveling with friends, it is best to book separate rooms unless you want to share a bed. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. We are so glad to have chosen LADE.”
