“The rooms were very comfortable (best sleep we had on our trip to Costa Rica) and we loved the pool, the beach, the sunsets, and the star gazing at night. We were there with our family. It is a bit remote so good idea to bring games and snacks if traveling with kids. The restaurant on the premise is expensive but serves creative dishes by a Michelin star chef using local ingredients.”

There are none available at the beach except for the next door resort which they don’t rent. There are different activities offered by other businesses.”

“The Sunset Shack was fantastic for our family trip to Nosara. The beach is super close, and the town is very cute. We were right in the middle of it all. Monkeys in the mango trees on the property in the morning, and iguanas roaming all day. The food, the staff, and the hotel itself were all 5 stars! We would love to return to Nosara, and would not stay anywhere else. Thank you Sunset Shack!”

“Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects. That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. But noise carries and young Costa Ricans love their motorcycles. So if you are super noise sensitive that might bother you, but the traffic is really light on that...

“I loved the short walk to the beach. The beach was beautiful and hardly anyone was on the beach. Also saw some monkeys in the trees out back of the property. The food was good, we only ate there twice. We had several drinks each night at the bar. Loved the location being so close to several sodas. Road to the lodge was rough but all the roads were pretty rough.
