“Outstanding staff. Gave us great local recommendations and very attentive. Bungalows are clean, but simple. The property is outside the main tourist spots, but the beaches close by are even better.”

“Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotels beach was not really kid friendly, or even adult friendly. (at least not for me) There was no space to put our towels and beach accessories. We walked about 5 extra minutes to get to the other side of the beach, which was in front of another hotel and it was a little nicer there. There was a beach about 5 min away (by car), from the hotel (Playa Carillo), and it was BEAUTIFUL! Brian, the manager was so kind to give us a ride in his personal car...

“The Sunset Shack was fantastic for our family trip to Nosara. The beach is super close, and the town is very cute. We were right in the middle of it all. Monkeys in the mango trees on the property in the morning, and iguanas roaming all day. The food, the staff, and the hotel itself were all 5 stars! We would love to return to Nosara, and would not stay anywhere else. Thank you Sunset Shack!”

“Latica lodge was amazing to stay at! If you’re looking for that community vibe then this should be on the top of your list. Everyone from all over the world staying there, all having breakfast/supper together was spectular. The owners are everyday people willing to help you out with everything they made the stay so enjoyable. “Extremely secure and secluded. Villa to villa distance is quite far and we could not see or hear anyone else. Grounds are very large, beach is pretty much private but you should know it’s a bit of a walk from some of the villas around to the restaurant and beach. Private pool was very nice and overall good stay. Staff were friendly and helpful and very easy to communicate with, 10/10 for the staff! ”

“Our stay at Hotel Amira was beyond expectations and exceptional. The location and the staff, especially the hotel manager, went above and beyond to make our stay more than comfortable. The location was great. Several choices of restaurants nearby and close to beaches. Having stayed at many places in Costa Rica I would highly recommend Hotel Amira as a great place to stay.”

“I loved the short walk to the beach. The beach was beautiful and hardly anyone was on the beach. Also saw some monkeys in the trees out back of the property. The food was good, we only ate there twice. We had several drinks each night at the bar. Loved the location being so close to several sodas. “The rooms were very comfortable (best sleep we had on our trip to Costa Rica) and we loved the pool, the beach, the sunsets, and the star gazing at night. We were there with our family. It is a bit remote so good idea to bring games and snacks if traveling with kids. The restaurant on the premise is expensive but serves creative dishes by a Michelin star chef using local ingredients.”
