“Park House was just what we needed for a break. The hosts were extremely welcoming and very friendly and the food was really excellent. The room was really nice, very clean and beautifully decorated. Both my wife and I really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Park House as a place to stay. We will be booking again.”

“Robert greeted us at the door and was friendly. The room we were shown to was perfect, bed was comfortable and amenities clean and tidy. The location of Kirkgate House was great, in the middle of the town with bars and restaurants within a couple minutes walk. Would recommend and if we visit Knaresborough again, definitely would stay.”

“Room was large, big bathtub. One corner of the room had moisture damage, and mold, perhaps from a roof leak or condensation. Pub was cosy. Food tasty. There is nothing else to do in Sandhutton. A critter scampering, and chewing in the attic above our room kept us awake most of the night. ”

“Stayed here for the first time 14 March oh my what a treat. We stayed in the James Herriot room and it’s the little details such as a piece of cake a glass of port and the accessories were in keeping with the great man himself all very well thought out. We dined that evening and we were not disappointed the food was exceptional and well executed. A warm and welcoming experience by staff who were so friendly!”

“I was a walker arriving at the Nag's Head at 15.30. I was warmly received and shown to my very comfortable room. Although the restaurant was closed on a Tuesday evening, i was provided with a wonderful Chinese meal at a very modest cost. I requested a continental breakfast which was fine. Pick Hill is a lovely small village with a long history, some of which is displayed in the ancient church. ”

“We absolutely loved our stay. The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you (without being over bearing). The whole place was spotless, the food was impeccable and it was very dog friendly. We wish we could’ve stayed longer! ”
