The location is 2nd to none. We were located close to subway stations and within walking distance to most of NYC'S hot spots. Staff were friendly. When we arrived and a few other times we were inside the building, there was a staff member cleaning the building, but the building itself is just so beyond needing a clean. It needs to be repaired desperately. We are not at all fancy people and can handle some things, but I however puked at the sight of black mold and broken ceilings in the urine aroma filled bathroom. I was unable to use the washroom to shower or urinate for the 4 days we stayed. As for bed bugs, we were safe - our sheets were clean and the mattress creases were free of bugs. That being said, our 4th and final night - my 2am wake up call from a cockroach crawling on my face was the final straw. I stayed awake until 4:30 am when we headed to catch our flight.
In a sense, I am thankful our stay wasn't the greatest because we did everything not to hang out inside even when the weather wasn't the best and managed to see so much while there.
If you don't mind cockroaches and are just looking for a place to rest your head, then it serves it's purpose.
