“The hospitality (service and meals) at Shiganoyu Hotel were amazing. While we did not speak Japanese and the staff did not speak English, they used a translation tool for conversation and didn't let that be a barrier. “A beautiful Ryokan. We were welcomed with kindness and hospitality. They brought our luggage to the room, provided us with yukatas and offered amazing traditional food. The private baths were the highlight and we will miss them greatly. Highly recomend. ”

“Good location. Close to train and bus station and convenience store. Good breakfast, Huge and clean room, and reasonable price. Facilities(incl. hot spring) were somewhat old need to repair or change. Wi-fi was suck.”

“All the staff members were friendly and thoughtful. They always smiled and gave us a lot of information. Their Japanese breakfast was good. They kept our baggage before check-in and after check-out, so we could enjoy ski all the days. There are free ski lockers. In 5th floor, there a onsen(hot spring) bath. It has a outside bathtub. They took us(including ski) to the bus terminal by their car. ”

“In the middle of it all, it’s a hostel type property but don’t let that discourage you. Lovely couple that welcome you and help you with whatever you need. Location is amazing with a short walk to the temple and to all eateries. Room is cozy, overall I loved the experience ”

“전통료칸 경험하기에 저렴한 가격으로 아주 적합 했고 노천탕이 있어서 좋았어요. 하루만 숙박을 해서 좀 아쉬웠어요. 아침 식사도 옵션으로 참 좋았어요. 근데 실내 개인용 (private) 온천탕에 이물질이 많더라고요. 이숙소만이 아니라 시부에 있는 공용온천 9 욕탕에도 이물질이 아주 많았어요. 저희 방이 3층이었는데, 여행가방 들고 올라갔다 내려갔다 하기가 좀 어려웠어요. 주인 아저씨가 친절하게 도와주셨고 전통료칸이라 이해 합니다만 여행용가방 전용 엘리베이터를 설치하면 어떨지 제안해 봅니다.”

“Onsen is the highlight, we booked for the western room but somehow we got the ryokan type which is a bit smaller and the private bathroom is tiny. My recommendation for breakfast is Japanese as the Western one, you will get just a fried egg, a ham and two breads. (Free coffee for Western, 400 yen for Japanese) So far, the hotel is nice, the owner family is so kind, helpful, and lovely, we had a good time there 😊 ”
