We booked a non-smoking room, one of many, but it smelled like smoke. We asked for a different room, but they said they didn't have any more rooms with beds, only ondol rooms. The place was almost completely empty, but they insisted on charging us to get a slightly bigger room with a bed, even though no one else was there. (It was the off season).
The structure of the building outside in the front was terrible. The patio feels like it's breaking and the stairs are slanted like they are going to fall over sometime in the future. They building management didn't turn on the lights outside on the first or second floor, so at night we had to walk in the dark to and from our room.
The fridge in the room wasn't plugged in, further proof they weren't expecting any guests in the room they forced an upcharge on us for. The light in the room was behind the door, so you couldn't turn it on without closing the door, which left you in the dark at night. There was no lamp on the other side of the room so when you turned the light off, you have to walk through a dark dark room and can bump your shins on the furniture.
They have a big enough parking lot and they seem to have a small restaurant but it was closed (again off season).
The room itself wasn't very clean either. Normally when you visit a pension you clean the pots and utensils provided when you're done with them, however, good management will check to see if everything is actually clean. The provided necessities were dirty.
