The hotel is clean and comfortable. Incredible, full breakfast! Comfy beds and full pillows were a definite plus. Rooms and common areas were exceptionally clean. There is a large stand with area brochures and there are many things to do.
Missoula itself is a great, little city. We found the majority of the people friendly, especially in the Town Pump stores, which have the best, if not only souvenirs.
Sadly, none of the staff in the hotel, except for the night lady who did the breakfast bar, were friendly, and most appeared unhappy. From the front desk to cleaning staff, all gave curt answers and frowns when asked for assistance, and did not give their full attention. If staying more than one night, be sure to ask the front desk to have your room made up as there are no door signs to have it completed, and it is not automatically done. We left our room at 7:30 am and, after a day of shopping and sightseeing,
returned to an unmade room. When we spoke to the front desk staff, we were abruptly told that we should have asked to have the room done. We waited 35 minutes to have it completed and were met with dirty looks from the cleaning staff when it was finished. No tip that day, although we did leave one on our departure.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and recommend the hotel based on value for price paid. We encourage the management to work with their staff to improve customer service.
