“No modern electronics (USB) ports. Breakfast was not available until 8 AM. When we arrived at dining area at 0805, which was tiny for 26 rooms and about five family cabins, we were informed that we were a bit early. Coffee was not made and nothing had been put out yet. This doesn't make it convenient for travelers who are trying to get the most out of each day. When we returned to our room the code to open the door did not work. Had to go back to the office and got a manual key. Then back...

“This is a no frills stay, didnt pay much, didnt expect much. There was no staff on property at anytime that I saw. There was a sign that the office was closed and a number to call if needed. They are either going through a renovation or the property is just a mess. The fridge in my room didnt work, nor did the microwave. The beds were comfortable enough, but the pillows really sucked. Sure, I'd stay here again because its cheap and everything in Winthrop is way over priced.”

“The room was very clean. There was no staff but a phone number to contact someone for problems. Breakfast was ok but ran out of food at 0900. The biggest issue we had was the settling of the wood in the rooms. The noise was so loud and sudden it would wake us throughout the night. Not sure what else it could have been. Nice private jacuzzi which we wish we used and several deer roaming around outside.”

“Beautiful interior with club chairs, game mounts, fireplaces, rustic beams. Very well done. Helpful staff and excellent bartender. Big hot tub and fire pit. Six stars!”
