"Good place to stay for a first timer in Gent"

"This was a great stay for our family with plenty of room for 4 of us. The staff was very kind and responsive and the included breakfast had tons of options. The amenities were very modern and the room was immaculate. The location was right off the center of town so a nice quiet, safe neighborhood overlooking one of the canals. "

"Quality, luxury and high-tech are 3 words that come to mind. A distance from Ghent centre but easy and exciting transport on local bus and tram. Staff are first class - special mention of a waitress in the Lobby bar ( short Cambodian lady) who provided friendly and excellent service to my family."

"Everything was good. The member of staff on reception when we checked in was really friendly and helpful. The room was clean and great condition. Enjoyed the breakfast options and using the gym. Easy enough to get into Ghent via taxi (didn’t try public transport)."

"Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Reylof was a wonderful option for our stay in Ghent. Close to the major sights in Ghent, including Gravenstein and St Bavo Cathedral (with the incredible Van Eyck alterpiece - don't miss it), the staff was very helpful. The hotel has a spa and a lovely atrium garden. Despite its great location, the hotel was quiet and restful. And, it has great restaurants! Its Michelin restaurant was closed on the night we were there, but, we needn't have worried, their "casual" bistro was also fabulous. Highly recommended!"

"Great location"

"My sister and I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights in Luxury Room with a View. My room was #130, hers #140. The hotel location is fantastic! The reception staff was so very kind on every occasion when we had questions to ask them.They also sold us the Ghent Card which gave us entrances to various tourist attractions and public transportation in Ghent. The breakfast was a wonderful buffet with all kinds of foods--pancakes, eggs, bacon, pastries, cheeses, yogurt, cereal, fruit--worth every penny! There was a coffee maker in the room with coffee and tea. Bottled water was provided daily. Room 130 had a balcony with an amazing view of the river and historic buildings--I absolutely LOVED it! Room 140 (directly above 130) was somewhat under the eaves of the roof---it had a slanted ceiling with 2 large windows which also opened onto the river and skyline, but there was no balcony. The bathroom in Room 130 was a nice size but the bathroom in room 140 was bigger with the toilet separate from the shower and sink areas. The toilets did have a bidet option on them as well. The shower water was fantastic---warm and strong water flow. The soaps and lotions all smelled lovely! I really enjoyed this hotel and would most definitely stay here again if I return to Ghent. To note: while we were at the Hotel Harmony, we met THREE separate groups of travelers who were on Rick Steves' Tours, so this is clearly one of Rick's hotels in Belgium! "
