This is a basic, budget accommodation, so travelers should expect to get what they pay for. It is significantly lower in cost than nearby hotels, but consequently has fewer amenities. The free wifi and phone are in the lobby area only. The lobby/front desk also closes at night. The little bar/restaurant is only open for a few hours in the evening. The rooms are basic and are only cleaned upon request. My refrigerator was broken and when they eventually moved me to a new room, the floor hadn't been swept, and I needed towels and tissue. For each instance the staff were courteous and very prompt to try and correct the problem. Other guests were loud until after midnight, and repairs and hammering started at the room next to mine from 7:30am and went on all day. No microwave in room or in the shared kitchen area, but there are pots and burners to use and a large patio with lovely plants. The location is good...close to downtown stores but off the main road so a bit quieter as far as traffic noise. Each room had a large shared balcony with a picnic table to sit at, but be warned that other guests make use of the ashtrays if you are sensitive to smoke. Hotels.com gives you the option of paying at the hotel, but I was immediately charged by the hotel upon booking, and not issued a refund for cancelled nights or a receipt until check in. If you're a business traveler and want to work from your room, look elsewhere. If you just want an inexpensive place to sleep, it's perfect.
