It situates at a quiet part of Samui island. On the surface (an in photos) this resort photographs well. You can tell it needs refreshing when you see it in person. Unfortunately, this nice image didn’t begin with the hotel arranged pick up, costing Baht1000/trip (35 minutes), the driver was sloppy and unkept, the van was run down and most of all he was 30 minutes late, when our flight was already 40 minutes late to arrive. I end up having to call the hotel to inform them of the fact, who insist the driver was already there waiting.
You have no idea if a communication barrier exist until your requests are not fulfilled.
Spa staff makes a point of refusing to book sessions longer than 1 session at a time. Citing health concerns for sessions longer than those already stated in the spa menu.
Massage therapist appears to rush to finish the session, not giving the full attention to what they are doing. Sometimes will be talking among themselves, along with the noisy air conditioner sure break up the suppose tranquil environment.
The restaurant, 4K, is reasonably priced, but considers the quality of food, it is too expensive. Food came out cold, small quantity and over cooked. The existing chef is new, so we may need to give him time to sort things out.
A new Swedish manager (Erik) arrived, this may indicates management recognizes these issues and wants to improve. Erik is nice and always checking on his guests satisfactions. He genuinely cares about any feedbacks
