“This is a good "brand" type hotel, new and well-appointed and reasonable. With eagles nesting in the parking lot trees. A decent location, close to a supermarket and restaurants, very helpful staff. It also works as a corporate events place but the rates were normal.”

“My husband and I enjoyed our stay at The Hibernation Station. The location was perfect for our day trips. It is not luxurious but served us well. The owners were friendly and helpful. The lady cleaning rooms was very nice too. We could get extra supplies on our own or ask her or owners. I liked the locks on the doors. They could use some new mattresses and towels. “We stayed for two nights. The lodge is halfway between Seward and Exit Glacier. The view is amazing. The room has a small fridge but no microwave. There isn’t a way to heat anything so it’s a a challenge to not eat out. The restaurant is close but it is super expensive for breakfast and the hotel coffee shop is also pricey. Go into town for breakfast. There is limited cell service and the WiFi is spotty. Stay here for the location and the view.”

“This resort is fabulous! Maddie is a fabulous host along with her family. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and relaxing! The attached restaurant next-door has the very best crab legs I’ve ever had. The service was phenomenal too. Be sure and order the breakfast in the morning. It’s homemade and very tasty. I can’t say enough about this resort. Thank you again Maddie for memorable stay!”

“The person who checked us in was terrific. We had a problem with the initial room and he gave us a complimentary upgrade. We really appreciated that. The listing says they are not white glove. Let's just say this is a man hotel for fishermen and hunters. Care was not given to dusting or comfortable beds and pillows. It would be nice if they invested in new beds especially. We didn't eat at the cafe, but I did look at the menu. The prices for Alaska are pretty decent.”

“We had an awesome stay in Homer at the Pioneer Inn. The room perfectly suited our needs and Lila & Paula were amazing. Very responsive to questions and checking in to assure our stay was satisfactory. Also, I tweeked my knee, because you know, walking is hard :). They drove me to the medical center to get it checked out, and came back to pick me up afterward. They also helped me to find a knee brace in town. I would definitely stay at the Pioneer Inn when in Homer again.”
