“This little lodge is a wonderful place to stay. It is about 5 minutes outside of the main streets of Seward helping avoid the crowds of other tourist from the cruise ships. The lodge is quiet, comfortable with a salmon bake resturaunt on the grounds. We made some last minute changes to our trip plans and the lodge went above and beyond with accommodating us. Can't recommend this place enough!”

“The property was in good shape for its age. Felt like a throwback to the 70’s in a good way and was well maintained and very clean and spacious. The view from the room was awesome allowing us to see sea otters, bald eagles and various sea birds. We only ate one meal at the hotel during our stay which was breakfast. “Our stay was perfect! The setting was lovely against the mountains. There was a walking path decorated with delightful sculptures around the property. Our room was large and tastefully decorated. The owners were very personable. Breakfast was on time and tasty. I would definitely recommend this place. ”

“The cabin was very clean. The check-in smooth and friendly. Plenty of parking. The cabin was well equipped. The heater worked great. The only thing that wasn’t appealing was the outside view of this one particular cabin. The others were probably fine. I’d still stay in this same one though especially for mainly a good nights sleep.”

“We had a day of king salmon fishing planned in the area, so we decided to stay in Soldotna for the night. We paid $234 for a double queen room. The room had several issues. The air conditioner rattled throughout the night, one of the mattresses sagged noticeably in the middle, and the door was difficult to close properly. On the positive side, the room was clean, the breakfast was great, and the staff accommodated an early check-in, which we appreciated. Would I stay here again? Probably not...

“I absolutely loved the view from our room. We had a huge window that looked straight out over the river. Also, those windows had blackout shades. So the Alaskan summer can be turned off when it is time to sleep. The room was clean and comfortable. The property was well maintained. The staff was very nice and helpful. Check-in, checkout was very easy.”

“Beds where comfortable a little too rustic”

“We reserved the 3 bedroom house for our family of 4 adults, but when we checked in were informed it was under renovation and was not available. They had reserved the executive king and executive double queen for us at the same price and comped us for the breakfast buffet for both mornings of our two night stay. The rooms were excellent, with a view of the ocean and mountains. The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is free and easy to access.”

“This place is a hoot. Each "room" is actually just a small stand-alone structure: mine was a small cabin and the guy next to me was staying in one of those old '50s trailers. Bathrooms and showers are good; can either use the ones outside the main house or those inside. Really fun place. Only a few minutes north of town. Okay to cook your own food in the main house, which has 2 kitchens. Good choice to stay there as long as you don't need a big room.”
