"This is the second time I have stayed here visiting family. Overall nice property but there was an issue with guests from Mainland China. They were loud, drunk, rude, and made thenstay less enjoyable. This hotel should review it's travel partners and better vet the groups coming in. The area is good but too many Gaijin tourists who are ruining Kyoto with there boorish behavior. I feel sorry for the locals."

"Upon departing from Tokyo, my younger brother and I chose this lovely location for our Kyoto stay. Even doing some research before our trip, I didn't realise we were SO close to Nishiki Market! This was a major plus in our book - the main drag was only around 6-7 mins from the hotel, which also meant our Tea Ceremony was close as well. The hotel is very classy, with gorgeous decor and several restaurants as well as spa and hot spring facilities. I wasn't able to take advantage of the hot spring...
