We were in town for a graduation. We went out that night to celebrate our friend, came back at 1:30am exhausted, and ready for bed. We went to open our door and the door would not open. The key was working fine, flashing green like it was working, but the door wouldn’t open. We went to the front desk, and they at first said there wasn’t anything they could do because their maintenance man wouldn’t answer their phone, and wouldn’t be able to reach their manager. They would put us in a different room and work on the problem, and let us know when it was fixed. That in itself was unacceptable, all of our things were in that room… after us stating that wasn’t an option we weren’t sleeping in the same clothes that we’d been in all day, they tried to figure out how to open the door… they looked at us and asked if we had any suggestions, and we said to break down the door or call the fire department to do so. The guy working the desk came back using the master key and it worked, come to find out that room had problems of locking people out before, and all the locks were to be changed in the rooms but that project was delayed. For what reason would that room even be used if it’s a known issue. We didn’t get into our room and to bed until almost 3 in the morning.
