“Due to a change in circumstances we had to book a hotel in Oban at short notice. The Scott was one of the few hotels that had a room available for one night. “The location of The Royal Hotel was perfect for walking around the harbor and sightseeing. The staff were very friendly and helpful, recommending great places to eat and things to see/do while we were in Oban.”

“A great place to stay from the friendly hosts to the comfortable room. The treats in the room to the snacks to purchase. The fridge to keep our drinks cold and the wonderful breakfast hamper. Breakfast is not provided but our host had a bag of items to take with us for the day, including a banana, a carton of juice, granola bar etc. Tea and water was available to make in the room. The room was clean and comfortable. There is no elevator and the stairs are steep so be mindful of that. You can walk to restaurants but the shortcut is a bit steep too. “港町オーバンの便利な場所にある小さなホテルで駐車場はなかったものの、ホテルの人に「土日は路上コインパーキングが17時以降は無料」と教えてもらえた。 部屋はやや狭めで冷蔵庫なし。特に不便さは感じなかった。 宿泊料金に含まれている朝食(確か朝食無しのプランはなかったはず)の豪華さには驚いた。ビュッフェスタイルでパン、飲み物、ヨーグルト、フルーツなどを取って食べ始めたら、ウエイトレスさんがテーブルにやってきて、どのメニューがよいか？と聞く。メニュー7つほどあり、これ絶対料金だよね、と夫と話しながら値段を探すがどこにも書いていない。思い切って聞いてみたら、無料で一人一皿付いていますと。そして適当に選んで出てきたのが写真のとおり(一部食べかけですみません)食パンに卵、野菜、ハム、アボカドディップなど豪華に乗ったもので、まわりを見渡すといずれのメニューも工夫を凝らしておいしそうでヘルシー！10日間のスコットランド旅行で一番豪華でコスパのよい朝食でした。”

“Another fantastic stay at Aspen lodge where nothing is too much trouble and you are served amazing breakfasts. Stayed for a week and we literally had a different breakfast daily. You can eat indoors or outdoors too here. We came back for the views and location, the food and the peace and most of all the warmth and kindness and local knowledge of our host A big thankyou once again”

“Die Lage direkt am Hafen ist super. Lokale zum Essen gibt es vor dem Hotel. Es gab nur 1 Handtuch für 2 Personen. Im Badezimmer gab es einen unangenehmen Geruch. Der Seifenspender ist kaputt, er rinnt. Zum Einchecken braucht man ein Smartphone mit Internet, was bei den Nachbarn leider nicht funktionierte. Es gibt kein Personal vor Ort !!!!!!!”
