“Staff are welcoming, very helpful and friendly. My room was comfortable for a few nights but accommodation not suitable for a longer stay.”

“The property looks a little old fashioned from the outside, but this hides a gem within. Warm and friendly staff guide you to clean well maintained rooms. A low fee is charged and prices in the restaurant and bar are very reasonable. Bar well used by the local community. Well done.”

“Lovely staff, but the hotel could be so much better by upgrading the rooms and increasing availability of food on offer. The gardens could also be beautiful if maintained properly. Regular bus service to and from Helensburgh which has lots of restaurants to choose from, but would be nice to be able to eat in the hotel if have been out all day.”

“Not enough usb/plugs in room ....too warm even with windows left open....fire doors wedged opened....3 reports before door closed and not wedged open (it was faulty) stayed in cheaper hotels with better facilities...not much better than a holiday inn”

“The property was nice overall, pretty much a place to sleep, while you visit around the area. The staff was superb and super helpful, in every way possible. The negatives are that the TV would lose signal, hence no way of connecting to local and/or online. The hotel could use a bit of updating, but overall there is nothing really wrong with it. No complaints on the food or bar.”

“The room was lovely and warm, clean and modern . A nice welcome on arrival and the staff seemed well trained and polite. The food was adequate but not great if you’re looking for something special . Very usefully , half portions offered on some meals if you don’t want a huge helping. Perfectly fine for me just passing through.”
