“The Valley lodge is Excellent in respect of amenities, safety, restaurants, the staff at the restaurants and lodge are helpful. The food at the restaurant was excellent as well. The host was attentive to our needs and request all the time. She really deserves 5 stars ✨. The Valley lodge really lives up to its name.”

“I got scammed by the hotel. I booked and it was confirmed, I paid, when calling for directions the reception said it was full and there was nothing they could do and that I must contact customer services for a refund. Customer services rejected the refund request ”

“Was a great house and location was perfect but being winter and a coldish weekend, would have been nice to have a few heaters but the blankets were a great second best and made it warm enough. Beautifully decorated and had everything that we needed from cutlery, utensils, kitchen aids and the air fryer is always handy to have. “A whole house with all the trimmings, amenities and warm South African welcome of the owner. The fridge contained complimentary butter, home made jam, bottle of wine and farm fresh milk. There were home made rusks and scrunchies. There was complimentary spices to use as well as olive oil etc etc. We were given two dishwashing pods and laundry detergent to use. I've never stayed in a place that is so well equipped. The owners friendliness further enhanced our stay. ”

“We stayed in one of the Forest cottage. We loved the grounds of the hotel and the gardens were so beautiful. We booked late and the only room available was one of the cottages. We found the decor to be very dated including the bathroom and it had no air con. The bathroom taps were very stiff. The pool area for these cottages felt like it needed updating/cleaned and the lounger covers on the chairs were in need of a clean and quite dirty. Overall we were quite disappointed with the accommodation....

“The facilities at this property were very minimal for what is offered as a furnished holiday let. A salt and pepper set would have been nice. We had flat 2 which is not air conditioned but an air-conditioning unit outside our suite was noisy and disturbing.”
