“I always worry about booking a place that isn't run by a Superhost, or a hotel. You never know what you walking into, and whether there is anyone who can help. We arrived at 6:30pm. Lots of day light left, so no issues finding the place, or getting in. The WiFi was down, and we needed a blanket. Called the support phone number at 7pm. The answering service took a message. At 9am the next day (after we'd left, and been on the road for an hour) we got a text asking if we still needed help....

“This is an older hotel with the rooms being dated but clean. We have stayed here multiple times and would definitely come back. Great location. Friendly staff.”

“The Swell was just what we needed! Clean, inviting, pet friendly, large outdoor kitchen with grills and sink, has a friendly campground/motel atmosphere. Plenty of supplies in the room to fix a full meal. Bed in D1 needs to be replaced. Linens clean and fresh. Bathroom could use a makeover but plenty of towels and hot water. We will definitely return! ”

“The main problem was the pool. It wasn't clean/available. Everything else was great! ”

“We came out for our anniversary and had a wonderful time! The sauna and cold plunges were being repaired, which was disappointing, but understandable to service them in the off season. It was quiet and very relaxing and our text to the concierge was very quick!”

“ Easy check in at 5pm. Room was fine except TV didn't work first night but next morning the maintenance guy fixed TV access. Very convenient location for fishing the OBX.”
