But for those people who are looking to relax and sightsee, I actually think the location is better than in the heart of downtown. It's both close to everything and also "out of the way". "

"I stayed at Aaron's cottage for two nights and it was a great experience. The cottage was cozy, equipped with all the amenities you could need. It had AC, fans, hot water, a comfortable bed, a kitchenette and full bathroom. The place is easy to find and there is a nice beach within walking distance. The place is ideal for staying in the Hilo area or for day trips to Volcanoes National Park, or drive to the top of Mauna Kea (4WD required). Several great local restaurants as well as supermarkets around the area."
