"The coffee shop was amazing! Large roof top pool (not heated). Very modern and clean inside. Location was PERFECT with the streetcar stop right outside the hotel. Easy walk to the French Quarter with lots of souvenir type shoppes on the way down Canal Street and others. We stayed Tuesday-Thursday right after Mardi Gras and never once felt unsafe or thought Bourbon Street area was "dirty". Everyone at the hotel, streetcar stops, Ubers and businesses we went to were sooooo nice and friendly with...

"Great hotel. Large suite, modern bathroom. Friendly and very helpful staff. Area around the hotel is classic French Quarter. Bad sidewalks, all a little rundown looking. All the reasons to hang out in New Orleans!"

"Great stay. The room was impeccably clean and only steps from Bourbon. Staff was excellent. The only negative is that the WiFi was horrible. Kept disconnecting and very slow when connected. This is easily fixable so we will be back on our next trip. "

"I did enjoy my stay. The staff were excellent. The bed and pillows so comfortable. Everything was pretty dated, given that the building itself is old. Really not too surprising. I just found myself worried I was going to break something. Hotel Royal is in a very nice area, accessible to a lot and all walkable. Overall I was really pleased! Thank you"
