"Upon walking in to the foyer it is very evident that this hotel used to be grand and glamorous. The foyer area is dated but well maintained. We had to change bedrooms three times until we found a room with an air con that worked well enough. However, the renovated room was very pleasant and the mattress comfortable. All of the staff were friendly and helpful—no fault there at all! However, the prices of things is outrageous. A buffet breakfast is $32.00 and buffet dinner is $37.00. If you need...

"It is not what is advertised, leaking and falling ceilings, mouldy bathrooms, dirty, smelt weird and don't know how this can be classified as a 3 star hotel.... cancelled our booking immediately and owner/management was completely unhelpful and trick you with false information. "We loved our stay at Shearwater Explorers Village - 10/10 for sure! The property was immaculately clean, the breakfast was absolutely delicious, and our room was perfect with the mosquito net to keep us safe from bites at night. Most of all we loved the staff - reception, cleaning staff, activities staff, bartenders and restaurant servers were incredibly warm and friendly. They were what makes Shearwater Explorers Village the perfect place to stay when visiting Victoria Falls. We highly recommend staying at Shearwater Explorers Village. "
