The landline in our room didn't work so if you wanted the front desk, you had to walk there. (We asked but no one came to fix it or change the burned-out light in the sauna.) “Peaceful and whimsical stay in a historic inn. The breakfast was delicious (served with the best local maple syrup) and location was a 5 minute drive to the downtown area.”

“The first room we checked into had a random person staying in it. The hotel staff had no idea who it was. The second room we were upgraded into was not very clean. The room smelled, there were questionable stains on the bedding, and there was dirt on the floor. We could hear the TV from the room next to us all evening. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, or stay here again.”

“This is such a unique property, full of creative landscaping and highlighted with intriguing works of art! The rooms are nicely appointed and furnished to include reclaimed and repurposed pieces that give off a warm and friendly atmosphere! We have returned 4 times, and will always choose this delightful spot when traveling through Bennington!”

“Staff was incredibly helpful, room was very clean and comfy. I was surprised at how new and nice the bathroom was. Even had a fancy light up mirror that had a defroster built in. My only complaint is that my first shower was only Luke-warm and my second shower in the morning did not Happen as there was no hot water available. I’m guessing that everyone staying there decided to shower all around the same time that morning leaving no more hot water in the tank. Overall a good stay, bed was comfy...

“Absolutely horrible, felt like a waste of money so I didn’t go back for check in at 3 even though it was listed at 2pm. Went with somewhere else.”

“Two things can improved: 1). The bathroom needs to be renovated. It has a dirty look. 2). The security alarm was beeping irritatingly all the first night. This prevented us from getting anywhere near a good night sleep. I did not find the owner very responsive. He said someone would be there by 4 PM the next day”
