“Great location for family trip. Close to West coast national park. Direct access to beautiful beach. However room was a bit cold and lock for one of the windows was broken.”

“Lovely property in a prime position just a few minutes walk to the beach. Rooms (superior) very comfortable and clean, staff were lovely and attentive. Food in the restaurant was excellent, but the service was slow. We pre ordered our breakfast on the day we left as we needed to get on the road as it was a long journey, that worked out well. The waterfront just up the road is worth a visit. Would recommend.”

“Second time we stayed at Gonana, right on the beach. Nice firm bed, hot breakfast. Would be nice to have a small fridge in the bedroom to keep water cool on the hot day. Anytime self service upstairs at the breakfast/ lunch area. Definitely, we will be back”

“We had no problem with our stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Service and food was excellent. The only drawback was the hotel has a generator, but during loadshedding all the plugs and lights are off. So during the evenings you only have a small light in the room. If you are an outdoor person, there are lots to do during the day. We will definitely go back if they do an upgrade on their generator.”

“Great views and lovely farm house charm. Great location to walk around Laangeban and also lovely to have the woodfired hot tub. Only challenge is there is no food after 8 so if you are arriving late make sure you tell them in advance. ”

Breakfast was excellent. Shirley, the manager who runs this place, merits special mention. She helped us get our bags upstairs, served us our breakfast and always had a smile and a kind word. It’s also only about a 5-minute walk to the main beach and strip of eateries. The staff were super-friendly and helpful. There’s a lovely honesty bar. All in all a superb venue for a weekend. ”
