“Absolutely loved my stay here! Perfect location to do the Cliff walk and enjoy the mansions of Newport. Staff were so lovely. Breakfast was delicious and the wine & canapés each day at 5-6pm was a lovely touch. I enjoyed them in front of the fire. The room was excellent! I stayed in the Lark suite; huge tub, gorgeous marble bathroom, a lovely gas fireplace that kept the room warm and cozy. Very clean. And homemade chocolate chip cookies available each evening by the tea/coffee station....

“For our 25th anniversary we chose Newport, RI for a getaway. As first time visitors, we researched options and chose the Vanderbilt because it seemed central in location and the fact there were onsite spa services and good bar. This first choice was fortunate because we then met Morgan, the lead concierge. I booked the hotel and then immediately emailed re:spa services. Morgan called within 5 minutes of my email to book our appts and then proactively offered other services, ideas, and resources....

This hotel is in a beautiful historic mansion on the ocean inlet and a is short walk to the oceanfront state park. The staff is helpful and eager to please, reminiscent of other top tier hotels. The massive oceanside lawn has many Adirondack style chairs to enjourage outdoor rest or socializing. There are indoor and outdoor bars that accomidate every taste even non-alcoholic...
