Could not turn off bathroom heating or open window beyond 10cms (appreciate health and safety issues), so ended up with fan on all night. Rather negates other excellent environmental measures..fresh milk in jugs so no plastic, opportunity to reuse towels etc. ”

“We enjoyed our stay. Yes, the hotel is old-fashioned,in that it's not all stainless steel, glass and fake marble. It's in a historic house, and you really get that feeling, which we enjoyed. Staff were pleasant and efficient. We had a twin room with an uninspiring view of the Reception area's roof, but you can't win 'em all. Everything was clean. And we really enjoyed the pool area, with hot tub, sauna and steam room. It was very clean and - doubtless because of the time of year - we had it...
