“Came for one night with my 2 young sons. For a bit of fun and to use the pool. Gorgeous surroundings. The pool was lovely and Clean. Our Room had a double bed a single bed plus a pull out bed. The main beds were really comfy. The pull out not so much. Room was great for us. There was the odd mark on the carpets etc but not a problem for us. Hotel allows dogs for an extra free. We heard a bit of woofing from the next room but that stopped before bedtime. Room service was easy to order through...

“Rating based entirely on the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the fantastic spa facilities. There was work going on while we were there which was a minor inconvenience but the room we stayed in was the real let down. Dated and uncared for. The bathroom was poorly finished and the shower was not the cleanest. The flooring was lifting and squishy in places and the room itself smelt of damp. “Loved the restaurant. Excellent service. Everyone we met was very friendly and cheerful throughout our stay. The treatment in the Spa was very good but the Spa area is too small. And due to it being half term - full of grandparents and parents with small children who took over the pool. Nowhere to relax as all the empty seats were piled up with used towels. The hotel should consider removing the gym and expanding the Spa IMO! Would go back for the hotel and it's excellent location and quality...

“Reception was excellent, both at arrival and checkout and the pool facilities were also good - we swam in the afternoon when it was quiet. Dinner was disappointing with thee of the six mains on the Brasserie menu being burgers. There were "specials" but this was a fixed menu. Waiting staff generally pleasant but largely inexperienced.
