“Nice old pub building in the centre of the small town. Down stairs arras were very nice with a cosy and traditional atmosphere. On checking in was advised kitchen was closed for 2 of the 3 nights. Breakfast (American pancakes) was very poor. Room was ok but tired around the edges. Very few power points and signs of a long term leak from shower which is always off putting. “The staff, we found to be friendly, helpful and efficient. Room bedding and towels were clean with replacements available if required. Rooms were serviced alternate days, but also on request. Breakfasts were well presented with plenty of choices from hot, cereals, fruit, pastries etc We had dinner most evenings, which we enjoyed, with a choice of 2 or 3 courses. Also sandwiches were available if requested at lunch time in the bar.”

“Good points :- Location, helpful staff, clean an & comfortable rooms and dining facilities, good food. Bad points :- Car park far too small - can be a real problem finding a space and parking. No lift to upper floors and therefore access challenging for some senior citizens and a no-go for the disabled.”
