“Nice old pub building in the centre of the small town. Down stairs arras were very nice with a cosy and traditional atmosphere. On checking in was advised kitchen was closed for 2 of the 3 nights. Breakfast (American pancakes) was very poor. Room was ok but tired around the edges. Very few power points and signs of a long term leak from shower which is always off putting. “The hotel is in a great location overlooking the sea, with a short walk down to the seafront for a dip. The terrace is a great place to enjoy a relaxing drink, overlooking the grounds and the sea. The pool is a good size and well kept. The staff were very friendly. It's a great place to join the coastal path, the walk to Dawlish and back is a great day's activity. “Overall nit too bad. Car parking was an issue and we had booked a table for two for my husband's birthday dinner and they committed to tell us they had a full house with a quiz on that evening. We had to get elsewhere. The owner was not very accommodating at all.”
