“Honestly, Senora Elma was amazing to my children and I. Although many of the staff we encountered did not speak our language, they were patient with us and did not make us feel uncomfortable. There are many attractions close by, as well as food options. Breakfast is included, ans they were willing anf able to accommodate us with our plant-based meals. The pool was not avaolable for use, but there were so many other things to do. The staff even offered to take us to the attractions. Please note...

“The Lodge was spectacular and the staff friendly, professional, and helpful. Within hours of arrival, they knew our names. The room was large, private, clean and very comfortable with a large deck overlooking the rainforest, a huge bathroom and our own private hot tub. We did many activities through the lodge (hiking, yoga, night walk, bird watching tour) and the guides were excellent. The food was delicious and very fresh. Each dish was beautifully plated and generous. 5 stars!”

“I can't say enough for what a great time we had at Kakao Lodge. I was skeptical at first since I usually like staying in my chain hotels that provide all the normal American comforts. But after staying here, my mind has totally changed. You can't describe how awesome it is to be able to see a half dozen different species of exotic frogs at night, or a sloth while eating breakfast, or tropic birds singing to you in the morning. “Comfortable cabin in a bit secluded area, in the Costa Rican rainforest. We love peacefulness, quietness and close-to-nature location. Our cabin was clean, spacious, with well functional bathroom and veranda facing wall of lush green rain forest. Tasty breakfast. The managing person is very nice, speaks no English though.”
