“We had the BEST time at Ella Retreat! Sadly on 34 hours long but this hotel is seriously beautiful, better than the pictures. You need a head for heights on the (slightly hairy) tuk tuk ride up the mountain, but once you're there this is a haven that you simply cannot afford to miss on your trip to Sri Lanka. “Amazing, family-run place. We had a beautiful view of the mountain and they made us a delicious breakfast every morning. The staff were so friendly and accomodating. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. There is a very steep hill which can be hard if you are bringing yo your own luggage but worth it for the views.”

“The worst hotel in the entire universe..toilet smelling..gave used soap wrapped in tissue, no fridge, no vanity, broken shower head, to go to toilet, have to cross wet shower floor, flies sitting all over breakfast food, no tissue, no face towel, no hand towel, reception did not talk, did not provide any information, asked bell boy about dinner, he said buffe, but when went to restaurant, no buffe..only fried rice and pasture..had to abandon the restaurant and went for dinner in the town. Man ist eher im Tal gelegen, sodass man schnell in Ella Town ist (von unserem anderen Hotel oben am Berg hat es 20 min mit dem TukTuk gedauert), aber dennoch sehr ruhig und im Grünen.
