“We stayed for 2 nights, and we both thought that the food and the public areas were amazing. We also booked the yoga classes which were great. The bungalows are very cool, they are open, so you get a pretty unique experience. The beds are a bit on the hard side, this should be improved.”

“Excellent/wonderful. Beautiful facility/setting and the staff are wonderful. The breakfast was the best I had in all of Sri Lanka. The dinner choices were wide ranging an excellent. The bed was very comfortable. Excellent water pressure with plenty of hot water. About a 10 minute Tuk Tuk ride to the Fort. Highly recommend. ”

“Bartizan is locted on edge of Galle Fort. It has a rooftop with seating which has great sea views and more importantly a breeze in the swealtering heat! Breakfast amazing, with nice choices, staff supet freindly and very polite. Well worth booking a room with seaview or partial seaview rather than courtyard room ( although these are fine). Would recommend this hotel. ”

“Fantastic paradise right on the beach. Close enough to all the tourism and excitement, but far enough away to have true peace and tranquility. The staff was absolutely phenomenal and the reason I will absolutely come back. ”

“Had to wait over an hour past posted check in time. Was told some story about the AC, but, seems it was housekeeping as the floors were wet when we finally checked in. Room was run down..biggest issue was that neither of the two showers drained properly. In fact, sewage came up and created an offensive odor. This was reported to the front desk and repairs were attempted, but not done properly. So, the room still smelled BAD. Also, the workman left a BIG mess. I had to go to the front desk to...

“Beautiful view from rooftop (4th floor) pool and from restaurant / lobby area (2nd floor). Only rooms on 3rd floor have sea view. Those on 1st floor and ground floor can only see garden. Nothing around the property so need transport if don't want to eat in hotel. Reasonable quality food in restaurant for dinner and breakfast, but nothing special.”

“Large rooms with comfortable bed right on the beach. Easy walking to many tourist shops and many restaurants. Lots of fresh seafood available from these restaurants. Staff was very friendly and eager to help with a smile. The restaurant prepared a seafood grill each night and set tables with candies at the edge of the surf. Breakfast was very good with lots of fruit and an omelette station as well as curry. Can’t go wrong staying here. ”
