"I stayed at Arlo (Washington DC) recently, and while the hotel has its merits, my overall experience was disappointing. On the positive side, the room was in good condition, and the location is excellent—convenient for exploring the city. However, I had a distressing incident during my stay. Around 6 PM one evening, while I was in the bathroom, someone unexpectedly opened my room door. I heard the door and immediately shouted, “Who’s there?” The intruder retreated, and the door closed. I reported this to the front desk, and they later informed me that it was a cleaner who had mistakenly opened the wrong door. This explanation felt odd, as it isn’t a typical time for cleaning, leaving me uneasy for the remainder of my stay. Adding to the frustration, when checking out, I discovered an additional hidden fee labeled as an “urban fee” of $35 per night, plus a $5.58 “urban fee tax.” The math behind this tax didn’t make sense, as Washington DC’s sales tax rate is 6%. Worse, there was no mention of this fee during check-in. Understandably, our group was frustrated by this practice. After complaining, the hotel eventually agreed to refund the urban fee, but this felt like an unnecessary hassle and poor transparency on their part. Given these issues—particularly the unsettling room incident and the unexpected fees—I cannot recommend Arlo (Washington DC). There are plenty of other options in the area that offer better service and peace of mind."

"가족여행이었고 항공우주박물관3분거리에 있어 좋았고 자연사박물관 14분거리에 있어 좋았습니다. 백악관과 링컨박물관은 조금 멀었지만 항공우주박물관뒷쪽에 서큘레이터순환버스를 타고 가면 금방 도착하고 가격도 1달러입니다. 어린아이들이 있으면 버스나 차를 이용해서 링컨박물관쪽을 가는게 좋을것같습니다. 호텔위치는 아주 좋았고 예약시 주차요금도 추가옵션으로 이용했는데 저렴하게 in out도 가능해서 좋았습니다. 카운터에서 주차카드를 주니 잘 받아서 in out시 사용하면됩니다. "

"깔끔한 신식 건물이고, 룸도 깨끗했습니다. 주변에 식당들도 많이 있는 편이고, 선착장 주변으로 산책하기도 매우 좋았습니다. 가족여행으로 머물기에 좋은 환경입니다."

"The reception is really unfriendly. My flight was at 6 a.m. Since it was an international flight, I needed to leave about 3 hours before, so I asked for a shuttle at about 3:30 a.m. the next day when I was checking in. They said the shuttle wasn't available and told me to take taxi or uber. The first shuttle is at 4:30. I chose this hotel in hotels.com because it said an airport shuttle was available. Then you should have announced that matter. In the end, the lift cost $17, so I went at 3:34 to the airport (it took 4 min) and found out that the airline counter opens at 4:30. It turns out that the airline counter opens at 4:30, so it seemed like I could have taken the shuttle after all. Then it would have been good if you gave me that information. The reason why the shuttle service starts at 4:30. Also, there was no one at the counter at 3 o'clock so I had to self check out, but I don't think I would have been embarrassed if I had simply given the information when checking in."
