Hotel Carmel is beautifully decorated, all of the staff was very friendly and helpful, and we especially loved the afternoon cheese, cookies and wine! "The property was very peaceful and clean. There’s no AC but many hotels don’t in that area anyway. Plus it’s winter right now. If you’re on the second floor, usually rooms with views are, there are no elevators. Also, there is no water filter so you have to go to the office to refill water bottles, the place is a bit dated, and there is no gym here in case that’s something you can’t vacation from. "This was such a gem! Location was unbeatable and there was plenty of parking. Loved how walkable everything was and the room itself was very clean, cozy, and had a super comfortable bed. I even loved how it had free breakfast! Such a top notch place to stay. I hope to stay here again some day!"

It was located next to a cute shopping and dining area called the barnyard which was convenient but it did get loud with the music playing until past midnight. Parking was tough to find at night and the hot tub was always full. Staff was polite and always helpful. "
