I received a confirmation e-mail from the hotel manager reminding me of our stay. We had been told the hotel would provide transportation from the ferry terminal to the hotel. After waiting for 20 minutes in front of the terminal, the hotel manager located us and led us to the golf carts they had brought to carry the four of us and our 6 bags of luggage to the hotel. They did not offer to help with getting the bags to the carts, nor did they assist with loading the bags. The hotel itself is attractive and the pictures shown on the website are accurate. However, the neighborhood is very poor and run down, not at all what we were expecting. It turned out we were the first guests to occupy the second floor suite. It was clean and comfortable. The hotel is not set up to accept credit cards, so we paid in cash. There is no daily maid service, and small amenities such as a sponge to wash dishes, dish towels, a broom (there was a dust pan), and other small items were not provided. The hotel provided clean towels and toilet paper, upon request. There was no trash bin outside to take trash to, and there were no trash bags provided, so the trash did pile up during our stay. My main complaint is that Hotels.com gave this hotel a 4-star rating, even though we were only the second guests to stay there. I'm not sure what they based this rating on, but I would only give the hotel a 2-star rating, at best.
