“I liked so much of it. Draw back for me as a 62 yr old woman travelling alone was the dining experience. Both at dinner and breakfast I was put in the middle of the room where I felt vulnerable. I did say something but they said it was what they had available. I did book a month or two ago so this wasn’t a last minute thing. I guess there will be those whose who don’t understand my concerns but there will be many others that will get it totally. Otherwise the room and lounges were all...

“Very nice hotel, all the staff we dealt with were very polite and friendly. The cooked breakfast was cooked fresh, we had one evening meal which was very nice. The only downside was that the Spa was being renovated, I would definitely use this hotel again.”

“Excellent room, we had an executive suite and the view was marvellous as was the huge four poster bed. Breakfast was excellent, one of the best we've had, proper cumberland sausages - what can I say!. Staff were also excellent especially Joanne the manager who went above and beyond to make our 4 night stay very enjoyable. We had 2 meals in the hotel pub and again the food was of a very high standard, one meal was a sunday roast which I found absolutely superb. Will definitely stay here...

“Very helpful and friendly staff. Nice room with ensuite. Plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits available. Great choice at breakfast, including those, like me, who only want a continental breakfast. We dined in the attached restaurant both nights and the food, and service, was very good. We arrived by bicycle and safe storage was provided. All in all great value for money and highly recommended.”

“Lovely place to stay, property was well equipped, staff were very friendly. we stayed in a self catering property which was lovely , had some areas that could go with a lick of paint but was really nice . I would stay again ”

“Because it’s an old property there isn’t enough plug sockets in the room & trying to do my hair without a mirror by a socket & somewhere to sit was pretty impossible So if your not bothered with this it’s a fine place to stay Missed fresh fruit at breakfast ”

“Breakfast was fine, not too many options and certain items ran out of quantity which they did finally provide again but after a wait. There was ample off side parking, with small fee or free.”

“We had a pleasant stay. The room is big, clean and tidy. All the staffs are friendly and courteous. Susan at the reception made us feel very welcome. Breakfast is generous and good. We have no issue with carpark although it is on a first come first serve basis. Highly recommended. ”
