For an older hotel, in a smaller town it was definitely acceptable. I liked that my vehicle was parked in front of my room. The location is excellent for day hiking staging.
Older hotels are quieter, of which , I value not hearing my neighbor as much. The room was clean.
Trade offs:
I do not like sleeping on soft mattresses nor dim light
( hence I travel with a small lamp) Although , for an older hotel the lighting was better the most with one in ceiling light fixture.
Lastly, carpet should be removed in the rooms for obvious reasons. This could be an upgrade, but I understand , a capital expense.
