The Jenner room was nicely decorated and the owners were nice and welcoming. The cleaning lady was there when we arrived and could only speak a little English, but she was nice and still explained everything well. The owner came to our room a few minutes later to introduce himself and find out what time we like to eat breakfast. There was the typical breakfast spread. We were provided with a Berchtesgaden card to help with costs of parking and discounts. He will give advice as well for things to do. There is a beautiful view of the mountains from the balcony. The shower was very small (but that is typical for Europe). Wifi okay on phones only.
Although everyone was friendly, there were some very notable downsides to this guesthouse. The towels were once white and now very yellowed and rough. You can tell that they were nice towels at one time. Hot water did not seem to be available late evening until at least 7am when we tried to take late or early showers. There was still water sitting at the bottom of the electric water kettle in the room. There was dust on the ledge in the bathroom and a lot of dust in the surge protectors next to the bed where we could plug in our phones and camera batteries. The cup in the bathroom did not appear to be clean. The wood floor of the balcony underneath the balcony carpet also feels like it may be a bit soft. However, it appears that they are making improvements to the property, so hopefully some of these items will be corrected.
