“Our four night stay at Casa do Santo was FANTASTIC! The estate is beautiful, elegant and stylish, and Maria and her staff go out of their way to make you feel at home and to make you feel spoiled. “Pictures of the property in expedia does not make justice of the beautiful place and surroundings. All rooms face the amazing Douro River. Waking up and opening the windows for the sun to come in with the river view was priceless. The nights are so peaceful and quiet. Friends and families stayed with us and loved as well. “We absolutely loved our stay at Quinta da Marka! It was beautiful and on such a picturesque spot along the river. It was so relaxing and a restful spot for our honeymoon. The train station is nearby to get to other cities if you wanted to, otherwise it is quite isolated in this area. Walking over to Quinta do Crasto for a wine tasting & tour was a highlight of the area too! The Quinta offered breakfast, lunch, and dinner which was very convenient. “Wonderful stay. The view is amazing. Smaller vineyard compared to the big and more popular wineries in the area, which is what we like. The drive up is beautiful. About 35 minutes from Pinhao downtown. Moises greeted us and gave us the tasting tour. We didn’t expect to learn such an amazing family history of the people and the farm. Filipa brings us wonderful organic breakfast to our door every morning. You can see her working around the farm from early morning.”

“Fantastisch uitzicht en door familie gerund! Accomodatie was voor ons slecht vindbaar. Een wegbeschrijving zou fijn zijn, steile weg naar boven, wij kwamen van de verkeerde kant aanrijden en dan is het een avontuur om de Quinta te bereiken. We hadden ons meer voorgesteld van de sfeer en gezelligheid, helaas waren we de enige gasten en had Carlos geen hart meer voor zijn bedrijf. Ze gaan ook stoppen met deze quinta. En op zondag wordt er niet gekookt, wij aten eenvoudig op zaterdagavond en prijs...

“O chalé fica num lugar muito bonito, pena que não vimos neve. O hotel ao qual os chalés ficam ligados, não fornecem café da manhã e refeições depende de ter ou não vaga para tal. Se for ficar aqui, leve tudo para se alimentar. O andar debaixo é piso frio, o que torna desconfortável, para ligar o aquecedor (salamandra) deve pagar para usar, o 1º uso é gratuito. Os quartos são razoáveis, mas a disposição que me deram para 5 pessoas foi um pouco ruim.”
