“If you like a room that smells humid and like an old cigarette, this is a place for you. The room hasn’t been upgraded in a generation and the shower had water damage and black mold on the ceiling. The pool and hottub were shut down, and looked like they had been for a while. Of course they didn’t provide notice of any of this, especially to a family coming up to enjoy skiing, and all the outdoor activities the Lake Placid area has to offer, and would love nothing else but to soak in a hot tub...

“My husband and I arrived after driving many hours, and part of that was through a certified blizzard. The woman behind the desk was efficient, but not friendly. She barely said a word while checking us in except for relaying information. When we asked for a dining recommendation, she answered us quickly and left. The room was comfortable and clean.”

“Nice big parking lot. Building is older and showing some wear and tear. Did find stains on one of my towels. However for the price I feel I got exactly what I paid for and didn’t expect it to be a 5 star resort. I’d definitely stay here again ”
