“Mostly enjoyed our stay. Room clean and suitable for short stay. No toiletries on first night just soap. Only 2 cups for 3 adults had to go to bar for an extra cup. No extension lead available so glad we took our own although not really long enough. Disappointed to find door not secured properly after cleaners had been in.”

“This place is a little gem. A great deal of thought has gone into the rooms, everything you need for a comfortable stay. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. Very welcoming staff who clearly want the guests to have an enjoyable stay. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent, with plenty of choice. Would definitely stay again.”

The staff were extremely kind and helpful, the included breakfast was delightful (really loved the blueberry pancakes!), and we loved how close it was to the Cathedral and castle. We also appreciated the sound-proofing of the room and the natural light through the windows. The only thing that was tough for us was the mattress. Combined with the heat wave and no air conditioning, it made for a tough sleep unfortunately. The room did come with...

“A great stop off. Friendly with fab food (dinner and breakfast) and a comfortable night's sleep. Perfect.”

“The code for the wasn’t sent to me, but a phone call fixed that. There are no staff so everything is done by phone or message. Car park is nearby and reasonable. The room was fine with a good shower although it smelt as if someone had been smoking on the landing (not the room) Breakfast is very basic, toast, yoghurt Nescafé and cereals. But that was ok. It’s fine for two nights but I wouldn’t have wanted to stay for a lot longer. Good value overall if basic. ”

“The property was clean and tidy and couldn't be faulted. The problem was with their check in procedure. Phone a number which took nearly 20 minutes to get answered requiring repeated redialling. After getting the key to the room, it turned out the wrong key had been put in the keysafe box.....so... another phone call to their help desk, this time taking 25 minutes to eventually get answered. Once that was finally sorted out, all in all over 45 minutes, i ended up being late for my appointment...
