“Our one night stay got off to a dreadful start when we could not get into our room at 1830 prior to Eng v Bosnia, KO 7.45pm. Had to abandon our belongings at Reception and headed for the game. Returned at 10.50pm to find out that we were still locked out of our room at the battery for the card operated door handle was flat! Fortunately the Manager at Reception was apologetic and gave us 2 complimentary free drinks at the bar and breakfast. Peaceful night’s sleep , woo hoo! Great rainfall shower...

“Excellent service, quick and speedy check in. Staff friendly and chatty. Well located - less than 5 min walk from the station and less than 10 to St James’ Park. Lots of food options nearby. Quayside walk was lovely and easy to get to. Little bit of noise at night from street below, but beds were so comfy we were out like a light! The tap made a strange noise when running the hot water but nothing that dampened the stay. Would happily come back! ”

“Was expecting a proper river view if the room is described as having a “river view”. Not quite the same if you have to squash your head against the window to see it. Apart from that nice room and hotel. ”

“Really great hotel! Friendly staff, great rooms with thoughtful amenities and great location. Our room had a great view of the river and the complimentary drinks were a nice touch. We ate at the Gino restaurant on site which was great. All staff members were so friendly and welcoming. Location was about a 20 minute walk out of the city centre, but loads of bars and restaurants nearby”

“Just 1 min. away from Newcastle Central Station (just around the corner). Very clean room and friendly staff at reasonable price I already use this accommodations every time I travel to NCL area (3-4 times a year)”

“A fairly basic hotel, but it was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower worked and that was pretty much what I needed. Staff were very friendly and the grab and go breakfast was a nice touch. For what I paid it was perfectly fine.”

“Lovely stay in centre of village . Room was comfy and spotless with all expected ammenites , Only snag was our view was a wall and not the gorgeous views offered elsewhere. Breakfast was tasty but heads up its a hot / cold buffet . Car parking on site is practically impossible but main seahouses carpark just over the road at a cost of 10 pound for 24 hours . This we learnt could be refunded at hotel if you give in your ticket but as required parking up after leaving carpark was a hassel so...
